Luckycrest Livestock is a fifth generation family farm, stemming from a dairy farm legacy located in Casco Twp. Today we raise Angus, Simmental and Hereford beef cattle, pigs, sheep, chicken and turkeys. It is our honor to bring top quality meat, eggs and seasonal produce to our local community year round. In addition, crops and grasses our grown on our farm to naturally feed our animals with no additives. When COVID hit in 2020, new customers began reaching out wanting smaller quantities of beef, pork, chicken, turkey and lamb similar to their weekly grocery trips. Using the shutdown, our blue brick and mortar market front was created. Our market has a wide variety of products from beef, pork, chicken, and turkey cuts which brings the best quality products to our local community.
Before July 2009, the farm was strictly dairy cattle where they consistently milked around 100 dairy cows to support the family. Currently, we have transitioned it to a beef farm where we are able to raise high quality beef along with other animals for our family’s freezer and custom buyers.

Buying a custom side of beef lets you get it cut your way. Every animal varies in size and weight which will directly impact your hanging weight. We price our sides by the hanging weight poundage, you are also required to pay processing costs on this weight. Processing costs also can vary drastically by how you decide to cut your beef. For example, opting in for prepackaged patties instead of bulk ground beef will incur an additional charge. All of these details can be found on the processor's website. The hanging weight is the weight of the cow when it is on the rail which includes all the bones. When the cow is processed you can expect to receive about 50% of this weight in the end due to bone mass and trimming losses. Also note the more boneless cuts you choose the lower that yielding percentage will be. You are required to pick your beef side up from the processing location
